Supporting British Armed Forces Veterans

Veterans Repair Workshop is committed to supporting British Armed Forces veterans by helping those in need to gain employment. I understand the challenges veterans face as I have gone through them myself, and I'm here to provide the support they need to succeed.

Maintenance

This is a service that will be available to everyone and will be charged at a very competitive price.  The price will cover the cost and labour and any profit will go towards the other services that will benefit the veterans who are in need.

I will be conducting basic car servicing and minor repairs that have been highlighted on M.O.T failures.

I will also be offering a limited repairs to kitchen appliances such as washing machines or tumble dryers.

However, I am not able to offer these services to EV/ Hybrid vehicles or to fridge freezers.

So if you need something repairing, please contact me for a quote.

Loan or Rent a vehicle

How many times have you had to miss out on a job interview or a job offer because you do not have a car, cant afford taxi's on a daily bases or the public transport is not reliable enough or not even an option due to the travel time and the amount of changes you would have to make?

My main aim is to be able to help you with the use of a used car for a short period to help you achieve an interview and hopefully the start a job.

You can borrow a car, as long you meet the criteria, for a couple of hours for the purpose of attending a job interview.

If you are successful at gaining employment, then you might be able then to rent the car for an agreed period of time till such time you are able to afford transport of your own.  When you reach this goal, you simply return the car so another veteran can use it.

All the money paid for the rental will go towards the maintenance, taxing and insuring the cars to help reduce the stress.  The only thing you will have to do is put the fuel in for your journeys.

A Brew

There is nothing I like more is a brew and a chat, so if you are lonely, not sure who to talk to or just want someone to tell your life story to, then please feel to drop by and I'll put the kettle on and rustle up some biscuits.

The one ting I have missed since I have left the Royal Navy is the chance to sit down with people who have gone through similar experiences and being able to relate to them.

Who knows but we could have a good laugh and brighten each others day

My location is on the Contact Page so don't be shy and drop by

The story behind this project

The story behind Veterans Repair Workshop is rooted in the challenges many veterans face when seeking employment. Many veterans are missing out on opportunities because they are unable to reach an employer due to unreliable or unaffordable transportation. We aim to bridge that gap.  Some veterans are also in need of kitchen appliances but are unable to afford brand new appliances.

With so many used cars are being sold cheaply on local market places such as Facebook and Gum Tree for scrap despite them having so many more miles left in them.  All they need is a service and a little repair caused by wear and tear.  It's the same with washing machines and other kitchen appliances.

The idea is to try and have these cars donated or bought and put back on the road so that veterans who need them can borrow them to achieve employment.  It is also my aim to be able to provide refurbished kitchen appliances as well to help with the cost of living

"Veterans Repair Workshop gave me a new lease on life. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work and contribute to the community."
